2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV India Unveil Highlights: India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has today introduced its flagship sports utility vehicle in the country. The company has unveiled the all-new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV in India today. This mid-size SUV is based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, etc.

The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be offered with two engine options in India. It will get a 1.5-liter petrol engine with strong hybrid tech, paired with an e-CVT. This is the same powertrain that will do its duty in the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder as well. It produces 91 bhp & 122 Nm while the electric motor develops 79 bhp & 141 Nm. The combined output of this powertrain is rated at 114 bhp.
Maruti’s latest flagship SUV will also get a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine that will develop 101 bhp and 136.8 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed MT & a 6-speed AT and the manual variants will get an optional AWD system as well. It is also worth noting that with an ARAI-certified mileage of 27.97 km/l, Grand Vitara’s intelligent hybrid engine paired with the CVT will be the most fuel-efficient SUV in India.
In terms of features, it gets a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Suzuki’s connected car tech, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and safety features like a 360-degree parking camera, six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, etc. Bookings for the same are already open while the official launch is likely to take place in September this year.

The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is likely to be launched in September this year. Bookings for the same are already open and it’s expected to be priced from Rs 9.50 lakh, ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki has loaded the new Grand Vitara with a host of safety features, including a 360-degree parking camera, six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, front and rear disc brakes, hill hold control, and more.
